In order to assist the NARCA Board of Directors in making a decision
about preparing and filing an amicus brief on your behalf, please
submit the following information. The NARCA Amicus Review Committee
will carefully review your submission and make a recommendation
to the Board of Directors on filing an amicus brief.

4. Parties to the appeal and their counsel
5. Parties at the trial court and their counsel
6. Deadlines for filing appellant’s brief, appellee’s
brief, reply briefs and amicus briefs.
7. Summarize the relevant facts and describe with particularity
the issue(s) which you believe impact NARCA members or the legal
collection industry, including your position on these issues.
Tell us why this case is sufficiently important to warrant NARCA’s
participation.
8. List any other organizations or entities which have been requested
to or which have agreed to prepare an amicus brief in this matter
and their contact information so we can discuss a joint amicus
effort with them.
9. Provide the names and contact information of 3 attorneys in
your jurisdiction who are potential authors of an amicus brief.
10. Please include with your request the following documents:
- Lower court
decision, and any pleadings or motions on which it is based
- Appellant’s
brief (if available)
- Appellee’s
brief (if available)
- Any other
memoranda or information that may assist the Committee in reviewing
this request.
